Merry Christmas you lot, and a Happy New Year

As 2024 winds down, we’re taking a moment to look back on the year-that-was. Let’s not sugar-coat it, it’s been a tough 12 months – for everyone. I’m sure you’ve felt it. But that’s ok because we’re made of tough stuff, right? I’m always saying how the PLOTT team is the dream team. I’m not saying that makes things easy, it doesn’t – and perhaps it shouldn’t. But when the going gets tough, PLOTT gets going.

So it’s tough out there, yes. But it was also a year full of creativity, resilience, and a few highlights worth shouting about. So grab a cup of something warm – or alcoholic if that’s your bag, we ain’t judgin’ – settle in, and join us as we recap the good stuff.

The Community Games

This year, we’ve been proud to continue our work with the Community Games, where a sense of fun (and sometimes a little silliness), and local spirit come together for sport and games.

Summer saw us dressing as ninjas to take part as the PLOTT 88s (like a Kill Bill tribute act). Anna and her team of ninjas proved unbeatable, bringing home the glory.

Fast-forward to winter, and we helped bring some festive fun to Sutton Coldfield Town Hall as headline sponsors for the Festive Games. Another round of games, complete with trophies, silliness, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer(ing).

Another year, another place on the shortlist! For the second time running! We were thrilled to be recognised at the Midlands Marketing Awards in the Agency Team of the Year category. That’s an achievement in itself.

So … did we win? Well no. Did we have a blast celebrating with the team? Absolutely. Also we didn’t leave empty handed. Ashley won the charity raffle and got to take home a microwave oven that he didn’t need. Someone snapped a picture of Richard leaving the venue, which looks like a blurry CrimeStoppers photo of someone stealing a microwave. While wearing a tuxedo. Ballsy.

Anyway, sometimes the journey is just as rewarding as the destination. Especially when the journey involves great company and the chance to be a bit fancy for an evening. Anna and Jo dressed to kill, and Rich and Ashley arrived lookin’ like 007. What’s not to love?

Top of the PLOTTs 2024

This year, we worked on some exciting projects too. You’re not supposed to have favourites. So while we’re all pretending we don’t, you can enjoy our favourites.

Brand & Web specialists for the finance sector

A standout moment of 2024 was launching our own finance-specific website. We’ve heaps of experience and expertise creating powerful brands and website experiences for financial advisers and planners, wealth and investment managers, lenders and banks. We like to call ’em ‘money-folk’. So let’s look at some financial brands.

And while you’re at it, all you money-folk should check out our new website. (You’re already on our new website, but go take a look at the home page.)

But while financial services are our big focus, we still have love for a bit of variety. We’ve a few new things in the pipeline – including a software as a service company, and a consultancy business, both serving the finance sector. I can’t tell you about them now, but it’s gonna be very cool to work with them.

In the end every project brings its own challenges and ideas, and we’re here for all of it.

Here’s looking at you, 2025

The new year is just around the corner, and we’re ready. Optimism? Check. Gratitude? Absolutely. And let’s not forget a resolve to keep doing what we love – helping our clients tell their stories and grow their brands.
