It’s a whole new year and so we decided it was the perfect time for a new team photo. Is it just us or is it becoming increasingly rare to get everyone in a room at the same time? In between self-isolating, business meetings, and hybrid working…
Well, the stars aligned and we got the gang together.
It was really fun and good natured and was half an hour well spent – the end result speaks for itself. We put the photo out on social media and made mention of our outtakes. Everyone likes outtakes and so – by popular demand, and for your viewing pleasure – we’ll share some of our favourite shots.
In between corpsing with laughter, tea spillages and Chris and Rich fiddling with the camera timer settings we caught this beautiful moment. Probably accidentally. It captures silliness, boredom and distraction – all frozen in time forever.
In preparation Chris, Rich and Anna had spent a few minutes choosing the spot and trying to imagine the framing of the photo. They’d moved our enormous 3D logo (the balls light up!) as a centrepiece and, for reasons unknown, left the toilet door slightly ajar. I don’t ask questions.
So the plan was in motion. Everything in place. Just time to add the human element. What could go wrong?
Sometimes everything is perfect. Sometimes it all comes together exactly how it was planned. Sometimes everyone nails it at exactly the right time. Sometimes. This was not one of those times. There’s always one.
Scalding tea injuries brushed aside we pressed on. Hardship and pain won’t stop us. We never give up on the road to perfection. Professionals to the last. But Molly was getting fed up sitting on the floor. You’ve gotta stop sometime…
We’re really pleased with the end result. A photograph of experts and professionals all behaving themselves and being normal. What a team!

Since this was our first team photoshoot since our office move last summer, it’s as good a time as any to update our individual team photos on the website. So here’s a top tip from the experts. Don’t leave your outtakes on the cutting-room floor – you can utilise them elsewhere. So here’s my pick of the best individual photos, cropped and ready. It’s a brilliant idea, right?
