The winners have now been notified and named as :
- Sutton Coldfield Community Games – banning single use plastics at events
- Sutton Coldfield YMCA – planting an edible garden
- Sutton Coldfield Town Hall – Aim to eliminate single use cups for events
- Lea Marston Hotel – installing electric vehicle charging points
- Smith Cooper Accountancy – becoming a paperless office
Other great pledges came from the British Heart Foundation, Power Minerals, Priority, PLANitGlobal, Natwest and ARK Media.
Post event the campaign has gathered momentum and more pledges have been made including Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School who have decided to ban single use plastic bottles from their school and provide students with refillable drinks cups.
