Among the first tasks Anna gave me when I joined PLOTT was to write a monthly news piece for the Coleshill Post. The aim is to educate local businesses about marketing, and to offer our top tips.
The thought at first worried me, how was I going to succeed at this, being so new? But as always with PLOTT, we worked as a team. So yes, with a little help and support I found myself enjoying the work each month. So here we are, 6 issues later.
We didn’t just want to create pretty articles for the newspaper. We wanted to provide value to local businesses and to give something back to the community that supports us. But what could we give? The answer is our expertise, which we provide through our marketing tips. We drew on our experiences to develop the best tips for small businesses and start-ups.
As well as sharing our knowledge, we wanted to highlight our love for our community. We’ve said it before, but a business is about more than just work and profit. We’re a part of our community and they are a part of PLOTT. That’s why we have such commitment to local charities and businesses. Giving back and getting involved is who we are. It’s a part of our “why”. We get the benefits of our labour, yes; but we also get the priceless satisfaction that you get only from helping others.
