In such a candidate short market this is a challenge for recruitment agencies and in-house recruiters alike, you need to be the best you can be to attract the very best talent. I’m not saying it’s easy, it’s hard work making sure your tone is right, your social media channels are managed, your website is current and mobile and you have regular communication with candidates along their journey with you – successful or not! It needs careful planning and co-ordination. All to often we make do and it shows…
As a starting point I would recommend a bit of an audit, get everything together, all of the communications you send out; letters, emails, adverts and marketing emails. Check that it all looks the same, does it sound the same – do you have a style? If you are using various social channels are they all working for you? Maybe cut them down and just use the ones you gain the best engagement on.
Naturally the more collaborative your marketing and communications are the more ‘impressions’ you have on the candidate and their memory of you.
It’s a start and from here you can build your brand…
