The England players absolutely smashed it, just like Ash does for us every day. Tenuous link? Maybe. I was going to say something about star-players, but I’m afraid it’s all rather likely to go to his head.
While the World Cup was happening we were all engrossed in our table of food. Curries, biriyani, tikka platters, roti and poppadoms… my mouth is watering just typing this. We highly recommend the Tapri and plan to go back sometime soon. After the game the team headed back to the office for some hard work. By which I mean some digestion.
PLOTT events are always great fun, we’re lucky to have a team that enjoys each other’s company so much. It was lovely to have Ashley’s birthday to celebrate – we’re also very lucky to have him.
Before the big day, plans were afoot to arrange a card and gift worthy of Ashley’s 30th. The gift of cash it turns out – everyone’s favourite. Euros for Ashley to spend on his Christmas holiday to Disneyland Paris, with his wife Emily. Meanwhile Chris secretly got to work creating a Disney themed birthday card. It’s almost like Ash was in the film. I literally can’t picture anyone else playing the Genie.
Happy birthday Ash, you’re now halfway to 60. Welcome to your 4th decade. I have no sympathy whatsoever.
