We’re on the hunt for a Graphic Designer

For a small team we have an impressive portfolio of clients covering many different business areas and audiences. We’ll keep pushing you creatively while adding value to your design career. We’re a friendly, highly collaborative team who enjoy working closely together, but there’ll be times we need you to trust your gut and follow your instincts too.

You’ll need to be equally comfortable working on brand design and artworking, or web design and digital campaigns. In essence this is a 360-design role, online and offline and anything in between. You can’t be afraid of mucking in and getting your hands dirty!

Based near Sutton Coldfield at the Coppice retail village – home of The Fig & Olive – where there is a vibrant atmosphere and growing community of businesses, including an amazing foodhall and one of best restaurants in the region. Ample free parking, but you will need to have your own transport as we are not accessible via public transport.

The Team

You’ll be working alongside a perfectly formed team, collaborating with our Creative Director, 2 developers and 2 account handlers. You’ll be hard pushed to find a more grounded and supportive environment, where your ideas are welcomed and people stay for a long time.

Role of a Designer

• Design for a broad range of projects including print and digital
• Working closely with our Creative Director and Account Manager
• Interpreting client briefs and actively questioning when necessary
• Engage with a variety of clients and clearly convey ideas
• Demonstrate a true passion for design
• Be a great team player and collaborator
• Meet challenging deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience from an Agency, reporting into a senior Creative
• Confident talking through ideas and designs with clients
• A balanced portfolio demonstrating a range of web and print examples
• A genuine love of design, typography, colour and branding
• A great eye and understanding of UI and UX
• Fastidious attention-to-detail and a focus on the quality of your output
• Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Sketch (or similar)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (for the corporate clients)

Beneficial Skills & Experience

• An interest in photography (we have the kit if you have the skills!)
• An interest in animation / keen to learn
• A familiarity with After Effects / Video Editing
• Understanding of WordPress, and basic HTML and CSS
